The Forge

This neat utility building has had many uses over its 200 years; cart store, pigsty, working forge and latterly a garage that fell in to disrepair. It’s classic Suffolk brick and flint architecture has since been fully restored and renovated to offer a contemporary cosy living space.

Overview

The Forge is just four miles south of the famous horseracing town of Newmarket, located in the peaceful hamlet of Saxon Street, which has its origins as an Anglo-Saxon settlement situated alongside the Roman road, the Icknield Way. A rural situation surrounded by stud farms and accessible countryside.

A delightful brick and flint forge conversion. Self-contained ground level accommodation, offering complete privacy, separated from the main house with off-road parking for one vehicle.

The forge comprises hallway, double bedroom, shower room and living area/kitchen with vaulted ceilings throughout, making the interior feel deceptively spacious.
