Meet us

We have lived in Saxon Street for almost twenty years. We thought we’d found the perfect place to raise our kids in the Suffolk countryside, close enough to the bustle of Cambridge and within striking distance of London but still offering a peaceful retreat to call home.

We’ve raised our family here, met some fantastic people, made good friends and we feel like part of the community. We were busy commuters when we landed, knew little of horseracing and rural village life. We are no longer the incomers from further afield, we kept chickens, now we keep bees and even grow the odd vegetable or two.

The Forge sat unloved, a dilapidated ‘garage’ full of the stuff of life that may come in handy one day until now. As our family has grown we’ve had more time on our hands and the newly converted Forge is the result of a year’s labour. We hope you choose to stay with us and look forward to welcoming you.

If you do, we’d be happy to engage with you and support your requirements to make your stay even more enjoyable, equally if you’re looking for complete privacy we’ll gladly respect your wishes.

If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
